Fortis Luxembourg-Vie S.A. is subsidiary of Ageas (50%) and BGL BNP Paribas S.A. (50%).
The company employs 171 associates. Dirk Billemon has been the CEO since 14 June 2007.

With a full range of insurance solutions, group, life, financial investments, asset structuring etc... intended both for private individuals and businesses (pension plans), we devote all our resources towards offering a quality service. Favoured as we are by our geographical location and our close cooperation with BGL BNP Paribas, we strive everyday to ensure that we are deserving of the trust that our clients place in us and to maintain our position as the leading bancassurer in Luxembourg.

To promote our solutions, we rely on a structure which is based on a multichannel distribution approach. In Luxembourg, the network includes brokers and all the bank branches of BGL BNP Paribas. Fortis Luxembourg-Vie is also active in Luxembourg as well as in 6 countries in Europe, within the frame of the “Freedom to Provide Services” (FPS). Life insurance contracts are offered in cooperation with Private Banks or specialised brokers in France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Germany. This enables European residents to subscribe a life insurance contract with all the advantages of Luxembourg regulation and the same customer protection and information they get in their home country.

Although 2008 proved an exceptionally difficult year for the financial sector as a whole, in 2009 the markets regained a degree of stability. Thanks to a marked rise in receipts in quarter 4, Fortis Luxembourg-VIE S.A. performed well, in particular in terms of FPS.
The Company ended the year with a net profit of EUR 10.617 million.
